Faithful participate in a Q&A during the Special Session on the Charter of the Archdiocese at the 2022 Clergy-Laity Congress in New York.

Encouraged by the Mother Church of Constantinople to extend the conversation on the Charter revision to our faithful across the United States, His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros has begun visiting each Metropolis over the past year, in addition to the regularly scheduled meetings of the Holy Eparchial Synod. These sessions have served as spaces for healthy and transparent dialogue between clergy and lay leaders and hierarchs, and we encourage all faithful to attend a meeting near them for the opportunity to voice their questions, concerns, and feedback and to learn more about the nature, importance, and proposed revisions to the Charter.

If you are unable to attend a meeting near you, we welcome you to ask a question or share a comment through the form below. Questions will be classified by theme as they are submitted, and responses will be given periodically. We recognize that highly similar questions may be asked by multiple people, and best efforts will be made to respond in a substantive fashion pursuant to the topic addressed.  Please also be sure to check the FAQs often, as frequently submitted questions will be answered there, as well.

We are grateful for your dedication to our Church and your participation in the ongoing Charter revision process. Reflecting and responding to the changing needs of the faithful as our Archdiocese grows and progresses over time is imperative to any successful Charter– and we look forward to continuing a fruitful and transparent dialogue.
